Andy has been Head of DESS since September 2010.  Previously, he was Head at a very successful Primary School in the UK that had been graded on outstanding in every aspect by OFSTED.

Andy and his family headed to the Middle East for a new challenge and he now regards himself as extremely lucky to have secured the position of Headteacher at DESS.  He considers his staff a strong and dynamic team who make the school a friendly and high achieving establishment.

Andy has two young daughters who are pupils at school and his wife also works at DESS.  The family enjoy being part of the school community and sharing the wonderful opportunities and activities on offer.  Andy likes going into class to teach wherever possible and is proud that the children at DESS are so polite, hard-working and enthusiastic.

Andy is committed to working with all the stakeholders to improve the school and maintain it's well-deserved status as an International Beacon of Excellence.
