DESS will accept children whose English is sufficiently good to cope in our classrooms. The vast majority of our students speak English as their native language. We do not accept pupils who cannot speak English.

We assess all pupils prior to granting a place in DESS. We offer places as a result of the assessment process. We cannot accept pupils with extreme special needs, since we have neither the specialist facilities nor the expertise that they would need. However we are able to cope with the simpler forms of learning difficulties. The site is wheelchair friendly for those with physical disability.
