DESS is able to offer a wide variety of extra-curricular activities to the pupils to complement their academic work.

All the teachers take part in running activities for 2 terms of the school year, which are offered free of charge. Parents also volunteer to run sporting activities for the students. The extra-curricular activities vary each term, and may include:-

• Sport: football, netball, basketball, outdoor games, cricket, swimming, snorkelling, pool games
• Dance: modern, country, maypole
• Games: computer, boardgames, chess
• Arts: ceramics, papier mache, lego, design technology, choir, cookery
• French: conversation, culture
• Stamp collecting
• Homework Club
