It is my pleasure to be a member of the teaching staff at DESS where I have taught happily for the past six years.
At DESS we promote the idea that every child matters and take pride in the fact that they are enabled to be uniquely exceptional. Teachers pay attention to children’s individual learning styles and know what motivates them and what they need. We strive to provide relevant and challenging opportunities which supports all our children as they progress and develop from Early Years through to Year Six.
Liz Holloway Early Years - Phase Leader
When I came here in 1993, I thought I'd do my two years and head home. Its a testament to the school that I am still here! At DESS the children are eager to learn and thrive on the opportunities given to them. One of the most significant benefits of DESS is its "not for profit" basis. Therefore the children are the centre of all we do!At DESS you can focus on the teaching! Staff are encouraged to participate in CPD, classes are well resourced and the atmosphere is one of trust and respect. I'd strongly recommend joining the DESS family!
ELAINE WILLS - HEAD OF LEARNING SUPPORT
DESS is a wonderful school to work in due to its lovely children, supportive parents and caring, friendly staff. I have taught at DESS in a variety of roles for almost eight years now - initially as a Year 2 teacher, then in Year 5, followed by Year 6. In previous years, I have also been responsible for leading Computing and integrating technology across the school. My current position is as the Year 1 to 6 French teacher – a role which I absolutely love!
I am fortunate to work in a school that is forward-thinking and promotes ongoing professional development in order to provide the very best education that we can for our pupils.
Doha is a sociable place to live and constantly evolving – it is also a great hub for travelling and the sun shines throughout the year. I would highly recommend DESS as an employer to anyone considering it.
